Business Agility: For the next generation of market-leading companies

Join us for this intensive 1-day workshop to learn how to create a next generation company.

In the modern economy, companies do not have the luxury of stability. The impact of change, both technological and cultural, is greater and faster than ever before. The simple fact that the average lifespan of a company has decreased by more than 50 years in the last century demonstrates that not all organisations are prepared for this new reality. It is only high-performing, adaptable and agile organisations that will leverage, lead and thrive in this ambiguous and unpredictable market. We call this business agility.

This workshop will introduce you to 9 domains of Business Agility and provide you with the tools to implement them within your organisation.

Intensive training on business agility practices and approaches, including:

  • Theory of Agile Constraints: Create a simple model the full-lifecycle of one key business process within your organisation (including upstream and downstream steps) and use the Theory of Constraints to identify the largest current constraining factor to agility
  • Business Agility Maturity: A look at the key findings from the State of Business Agility report – followed by a self-assessment of your organisation and comparison of your responses to similar companies

Hands-on activities with each of the 9 domains of business agility;

  • Ways of working: Interactive exercises on the transforming organisational elements of Technical Agility, Process Agility & Enterprise Agility
  • Organisational connections: Interactive exercises on designing an agile organisation structure - create a network map of your collaborators, colleagues and customers across all teams and divisions and overlaying your sphere of control and sphere of influence
  • Culture & Mindset: Understand the cultural elements of business agility

Systemic understanding on how critical business functions inter-operate (and why they work the way they do), including:

  • Finance: budgeting, forecasting and accounting
  • HR: talent management and recruitment
  • Procurement: agile contracts and vendor management
